How To Buy Inbound Links

In order to increase page rank and thus getting more traffic to your website, you can buy inbound links. As you probably know, the more inbound links (or backlinks) to your web pages, the higher page rank, and the more 'organic' traffic the search engines will send you.

The search engines make their "living" by providing people with the best possible information, and therefore make every effort to find quality websites to display to people according to their search query. To decide what websites are of highest value and consequently deserve the most traffic, the major search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing put the biggest emphasis on backlinks.

The higher number of inbound links to a site, and the higher the quality of those links ('quality links' are links that are placed on high ranked sites), the more valuable content that site must hold, the engines think. They see incoming links as 'votes' for a website.

Getting backlinks to your site can be a tedious and time consuming task. However, you have the option to buy inbound links. In fact trading with backlinks has become a big industry because those links are so important to generate traffic to a website.

So, there are lots of websites that want to sell links. They are often medium to high page-rank sites, and links can be placed on different pages within a site. You may try to find appropriate sites to place your links, but it is much quicker, easier and more reliable to use a middle-man service (or link trading agency).

Link brokers offer links for sale on behalf of other websites. When using a link trading agency, you will usually be able to choose what kind of sites (of what topic) you would like to place links. It's important that backlinks come from sites that are related to yours.

If you are going to buy inbound links, most of the following factors should be present:

  • Quality sites
  • Relevant sites
  • Diversity of sites
  • Anchor text options
  • Contextual links
  • Maximum 10 outgoing links
  • Long term links

Quality sites: Links from highly ranked sites (authority sites) count for more than links on sites with lower page rank. Popular sites with lots of visitors are usually ranked high.

Relevant sites: The topic of the site your links are placed on should be related to the topic of your own site. If your website is about 'dog training', you don't want backlinks from a 'racing car' site.

Diversity: Google likes that your backlinks come from different types of sites, like 'ordinary' sites, blogs, forums, social networking sites, and more. So diversity is an important aspect of any link building campaign.

Anchor text: When you buy inbound links, you should be allowed to use anchor text (or link text) in your links; make sure to vary the anchor text and use keywords as anchor text.

Contextual links are links within informative content on the web page where the links are placed, and which flow naturally into the text. It is essential that the linking text is a natural part of the content, and is surrounded by relevant and related text.

Maximum 10 outgoing links: Too many outbound links on a page reduce the "link juice" of each link, so links on a 'link farm' have little or no value. Besides, Google doesn't like link farms, so avoid them!

Long term links: Make sure your links will last for at least one year, preferably with a renewable option.

Keep in mind that inbound links serve your website and online business in two ways: 1) they help build your "reputation" with the search engines, and 2) they send traffic directly to your website when people click on those links. Text links are known to be more effective than graphic links for both purposes.

Be aware that Google does not appreciate that people buy inbound links, especially if they are placed on 'link farms'. The reason is that paid links are oftentimes clustered together and are not part of proper blocks of text. Google is now very suspicious of any link that is not part of a decent block of text.

Therefore, if you consider to buy links, pay close attention to the above mentioned criteria for good quality backlinks. It is especially important that your link (anchor text) flows naturally into the text it belongs to.
